Day 87: August 28: Wind River CG to Shoshone Falls CG

Today's ride brought some change to the sights. I was riding out of the high plains, and started to see some trees and mountains. After several days of monotony, it was nice to see some variety, even if it was only geological.

I met some more southbound bicyclists and did the usual swapping of route information and talking about our respective trips.

I was approaching Togowtee pass, so I was mostly climbing, but it wasn't too bad, especially since there were some evergreen trees to ride through.

I camped at a National Forest campsite, where the campground hosts let me stay for free. They said that bicyclists were "special people". I didn't argue.
