Day 86: August 27: Lander to Wind River CG, 13 miles S of Dubois

This was a truly non-distinguished day of riding through the high plains, most of it in the Wind River Indian Reservation, which is a joint venture of sorts between the Shoshone and Arapaho Indians.

It looks just like the high plains that I went through south of Lander.

I did see some new geology, including red sandstone formations like those in southern Utah.

Red sandstone!
At least I could get water occasionally.

I camped along the Wind River, in an area that was clearly used for partying. Lots of beer cans were piled in the fire pits, and both pit toilets were crammed full of trash.

But it turned out to be quiet, and I slept well.
