Day 116: September 25: Sandpoint to Priest River |
|
|
I stayed around Sandpoint for longer than I'd wanted to,
having both breakfast and lunch there.
At lunch, I had a long conversation with a woman who'd moved to Sandpoint after traveling for some time.
She then had learned to be a massage therapist,
and had integrated herself into the New Age community in Sandpoint.
I was interested to find that there was an active New Age community there. Apparently, the core of the group is some Californians (who else?) who'd relocated there. They have a building where they have Sunday meetings and other activities. Had I stayed Sunday, I could have heard Marilyn Chambers speak. I only rode about 30 miles, stopping in the little town of Priest River. Since the public campgrounds have mostly closed by now, I stayed at the town park, braving the cold to make dinner. | |
